Independence of will

As we know all problems are solvable (Pentakos) with intelligence, energy and time if they are perceived, if they are set in a priority (or necessity) order, if their origins and causes are known, if the set aims are possible and the solutions though of are effective, if the instruments are organized according to the aims and concrete actions are applied, if obstacles are overcome and results appear.

This 13-step process (perception, recognition, priority, origins, causes, aims, solutions, effects, instruments, strategy, praxis, obstacles and results) is certainly influenced by material conditions, psychophysical conditions of the whole of the human beings, structural conditions (organization) and environmental conditions. This means we can perceive and recognize problems, discover origins and causes set aims and think of the solutions without later being able to carry them out because the instruments are missing.

But it can also happen that it is possible to dispose of the instruments and not use them. Why does it happen? What pushes the human being to face reality? And what keeps him from doing it? Why people starting from disadvantaged conditions manage to solve problems that people in better conditions can’t solve? What’s the basic difference between these people? We could talk different conscience and different way of feeling but now we know from neurosciences that conscience rises from feelings which in their turn come from emotions, a physiological reactions aiming the optimization of the actions undertaken by the whole organism in the environment were he lives.

As emotions are reactions, at the beginning there are starting actions. What do these actions rise from? The rise from will, as a response to necessity. Depending on the order necessities show in our organism, each one of us reacts in a single way and engages in individual actions. This way is will. An origin condition. This is the only way the case of who could satisfy all he/she’s own needs and desires and «wants» instead to dedicate his/her life to allow those badly off improve and the case of those living in disadvantaged condition and won’t «adopt» the instruments that would allow him-her to live better and make other live better. They are two extreme cases but emblematic. They don’t diverge for conscience, way of feeling or their emotion by starting from the same point. Really, they start from two different points, «they want» to carry out different actions ion the environment. For a starting initial or genetic condition.

So, while the results of the life of each human being are influenced by material conditions of his own and of the environment, will is independent from the environment and determines the conduct, the behavior. Obviously, conduct and behavior of each one of us adapt to the environment but have a different origin, a different will. If this is true, future doesn’t depend on the material conditions of who acts to build it but on his/her will to build it in a certain way, according, in fact, to one’s own will. That means the concrete results in the solution of problems and the real change of the human system structure don’t depend on the exerted task, on richness, on culture and on intelligence but on that starting condition that makes people act in one way instead of another.

Is it a modifiable condition? It could but most probably its effects are evolvable. The starting condition is nothing else than a certain origin physical condition of a complex organism, a whole of parts (cells) and relations (interactions) between then provoked by genetic information.

But we know that complex systems are dynamic and the actions, will included, determine unpredictable effects. This is also valid for starting conditions. In fact, a light fluctuation somewhere in the organism can cause a stage perturbation able to win resilience (the resilience to change) and induce the whole organism to a different self-organization.

This means that the interaction among several parts of the organism and an information coming from the outside can involve conscience, influence emotions and therefore affect the effects of the origin conditions, causing a new process giving birth to a new will. In this case, we have a self-dismantling and a self-rebuilding determining new interaction among the parts of an organism and between organism and environment. This way, the whole organism organizes itself in a completely different and more evolved way compared to the previous way.

Does the process rise spontaneously? No, it depends on the information coming from outside. If the information corroborates the effects of the starting conditions, the organism maintains the process that started from them. That light fluctuation triggering the new process can only rise from the inside if the information debates the state of an organism. This is evolution. The cause is necessity and it will keep going this way until all problems will be solved: a continuous process of determined but unpredictable events.
